Ghaith rehabilitates his school road in Hasaka

(Zaman Al Wasl)- Despite his limited physical strength, Ghaith appeared determined to finish the rehabilitation of the road from his home, in the small village of Sadiyya in northeastern Hasal province to his school since municipalities and organizations have been unable to do a thing.

Rainfall deepens the suffering of the village of "Saadiya" residents, including students,  as it obstructs the road to school for days, sometimes.

This does not receive attention from local municipalities or relief organizations.

Ghaith Al Matar, 13, a seventh-grade student, is trying, as the weather got better, to reduce the barriers made by the vehicles in the middle of the road, so as not to be an obstacle to his arrival and 70 students from his relatives and neighbors to the school.

Although he lived all his life in these difficult circumstances in this poor region, he and his four brothers who attend the same school, and he is in the middle of them, are excelling in studying.

Ghaith was surprised by the increase of the rigid mud size in the middle of the road, which extended to 500 meters from his house to school, shouting as usual.

Ghaith seems determined to continue working and finish his education to help his father, who is very tired during his work in building mud houses for small wages ranging from 15-25 thousand Syrian pounds per room to provide living for his children and their mother.

Ghaith hopes to become a teacher in the Saadiya School after completing his studies, in order to teach the children there, to enable them to be a bright future for their remote village.

After the end of school hours, Ghaith takes his lunch and then goes out to play football, which he loves and loves to imitate its commentators, but this time he opted to fix the road, with the approval of his family.

Saadiya school, near the town of "Tal Hamis", receives more than 150 students in the first and second grade of basic education, most of whom come on foot in this muddy road in winter, while vehicles and feet raise dust after rain retention, as is the case of the vast majority of the villages of al-Hasakah province, in the east of the country.

According to official figures, the number of students enrolled in Hasaka reached 104 thousand students, at the beginning of the current academic year, in addition to twice the number in schools of self-management.
