(Translation by Yusra Ahmed)

In a show off video, Iraqi militias fighting with Syrian regime inside the country, announced the formation of “Alawite Anger Squad” in an attempt to raise the morals of Iraqi Prime Minister, Nuri al-Maliki’s regime after the shocking fall of many Iraqi cities in the hands of extreme fighting groups and ISIS on the top.

In that video, a Shiites fighter appear in the middle of many militants announcing that what so called “the Islamic Resistance in Syria” would defend Iraq from North to South.

The statement’s reader announced the formation of “Alawite Anger Squad” that contains both Zulfikar and Alemam al-Hussein brigades with more than 7000 fighters to regain the security of Iraq.

It seems from the video that the sectarian militias have been affected with the accelerating developments in Iraq as many cities and vital sites have fell and al-Maliki’s army and security forces lost all their power in those cities, of which Mosul, the second-largest city of Iraq after Baghdad.

The leader of Zulfikar brigade is Haidar al-Jabbori, who is involved in many religious and sectarian massacres in al-Nabek and Damascus countryside.

Many found that the number of 7000 fighters is a bit exaggerated and no confirmation for the real numbers.

The changes in the flow of fighters to become from Syria to Iraq, will apply a new challenge on the militias that come to fight for Bashar and the outcomes would appear soon.

Militants from the extremist Islamist State of Iraq al-Sam “ISIS” on Wednesday seized the northern Iraqi city of Tikrit, a day after Mosul, the Iraqi’s second-largest city fell under their control.

The rapid collapse of the Iraqi army, was regionally and internationally shocking.

Militants took control of government buildings, financial institutions and weapons stores, which could help them gain strength in their war against Nouri al-Maliki.

Militants seized a local prison and freed hundreds of inmates in Tikrit, the hometown of Saddam Hussein, and the capital of Salaheddin province.

In Mosul, the militants on Wednesday seized 48 Turks from the Turkish consulate, including the consul-general, three children, and several members of Turkey’s Special Forces, which adds a new angle to the conflict in Iraq and Middle East.
