(Zaman Al Wasl)- The Syrian Civil Defense agency said at least 2,030 civilians have been killed since the Russian-backed regime forces launched major offensive on northern Idlib province in April 2019.
The death toll included 483 children, 338 women, and 15 WHite Helmets volunteers.
The annual report by the rescuing group said 14386 locations in Idlib province and parts of Aleppo, Hama and Latakia were hit during the military campaign.
According to the report, Syrian warplanes have conducted 11622 air strikes, while the Russian warplanes have carried out 2405 air strikes., most of which targeted hospitals, schools, markets and immensely populous neighborhoods.
The number of vital facilities targeted was 31 hospitals, 18 camps, 113 schools, 83 popular markets, 48 mosques, 64 civil defense centers, and 22 bakeries, all of whom were bombed out service.
Since the ceasefire agreed between Russia and Turkey on March 5, the lowest death toll ever was recorded in Syria in nine years. Also, more than 130,000 displaced people have been returned home, the Syrian Response Coordinators Team said.
Idlib province is home to 3.5 million civilians, third of them are dispalced, according to the United Nations.
The nine-year-old conflict has killed more than 390,000 people and displaced 7 million.
