(ZAMAN Al WASL)- Militant Tahrir al-Sham group shoot dead a Syrian protester in Idlib region after hundreds of people crowded in protest against the opening of trade crossing point with regime-held areas in northern Syria.
According to Zaman al-Wasl reporter, six more protesters were also wounded when the Nusra front vehicles rammed the angry crowds in Maarat al-Naasan town.
Regime-run media praised the opening Miznaz crossing point, saying it will ease the suffering of people in liberated areas.
Opposition activists have accused Tahrir al-Sham and its leader, Abu Mohamad al-Jolani, of betraying the sacrifices of Syrian people by following own interest.
The crossing is more than a commercial port as both Bashar al-Assad's regime and Tahrir al-Sham oppose the Turkish military presence in northern Syria, the main stronghold of the jihadist group.
On Sunday, Turkish drones bombed positions for Tahrir al-Sham, killing three fighters, following a series of provocative acts against the Turkish army, rebel sources told Zaman al-Wasl.
The rare move was in retaliation to a missile attack by the former al-Qaeda group on Turkish tanks near the town of al-Nayrab.
Tahrir al-Sham controls swathes of Idlib province and parts of Aleppo which is home to four million civilians.
The nine-year-old conflict has killed more than 390,000 people and displaced 7 million.
