Assad's loyalists in Turkey raise refugees fears

(Translation by Dani Murad)

EQTSAD- Deep concerns and warnings have been raised among the activists, journalists and interested observers over the suspicious activity of Assad’s sleeping cells among Syrians in Turkey, which aim to incite the Turkish street against them, in collaboration with the Turkish left-wing extremists and sectarian forces.

Some observers believe that the "shadow shabiha" who crossed the border from Syria to Turkey in the recent numerous waves of asylum, were waiting for the opportunity to disturb the special relationship between the Syrians and the Turks who have taken, for the most part, a pro-revolution stance.

And in collaboration with some Turkish extremist political parties, particularly from the minority loyalists to Assad regime, those spies cells seek to drag Syrians to confrontations in the streets and public squares with the Turks, where they begin with small provocations that later escalate into major fights, as to what happened in the Turkish city of Kayseri two days ago.

In addition to that, regime’s agents in Turkey exploit the political activity of “the Justice and Development Party” amid the presidential Turkish election, to stir up the Turkish public opinion over the presence of Syrians there.

Consequently, several warnings and calls have been announced lately from activists and observers, urging Syrians in Turkey to exercise self-restrain, not to be drawn into any provocation, and to report any incident to the Turkish police as soon as possible, as well as avoiding any gatherings in public parks and squares in the current period.

Moreover, activists have warned that the Syrian presence in Turkey might be used as a fuel for a political Turkish –Turkish conflict, calling on Syrians to be aware of what is happening around them, and to not allow those "shabiha” to succeed in their maleficent plans.

It is noteworthy that this month has witnessed frequent cases of clashes and confrontations between Syrians and Turks in several Turkish cities, especially in the southern cities, and even the capital Ankara was not spared such developments.
