(Zaman Alwasl)- 112 people, including women and children, from al-Hosn town (Krak des Chevaliers) in Homs province are missing and no information available about them either detained or killed for months, since the retake of al-Hosn town by Syrian regime’s soldiers, activist Khalid al-Hosni reported to Zaman Alwasl.
Al-Hosni mentioned that all those people left al-Hosn town to sort out their problem with the regime and stayed two days in the Monastery neighborhood, in Marmarita, Wadi al-Nasara, rebels were in contact with them till they left al-Hosn, then communication with them got lost.
Some news was circulated revealed that Shabiha gathered all people came to them, killed some and detained the rest. Till now despite months passed on the retake of al-Hosn by regime’s soldiers, no news about the missing. The Activist confirmed that 34 women with their children among them, and there is a 4-month infant with her mother.
Al-Hosni added: “those people were cheated by regime when it called for them to hand themselves if they wish to sort their problem with regime, but it was not honest. Moreover, regime’s goal behind that call was to vacate the town from its residents to make it convenient for strangers to come and live in, as a try from regime to change the demographic structure of the country”.
The activist added that people in al-Hosn suffered long from severe siege, where no food or water were available, as well as the fierce mortar shellings, rockets and barrel bombs, especially after al-Zara fell.
The activist confirmed names of 112 people missing wishing that many humanitarian agencies could do something to know the fate of those missing people.
