In a clear indication of the strengthening of its trade cooperation with the Syrian regime, Jordan's exports to Syria witnessed a very remarkable rise.
According to the Jordanian news agency (Petra), the rate of exports of the Amman Chamber of Industry alone to Syria increased by 32%, during the past 11 months, compared to 2019, based on a report recently published by the Chamber of the outcome of its activity during the year 2021.
The value of the Amman Chamber of Industry's exports to the Syrian regime-controlled areas during the last period of this year amounted to 85 million dinars (about $120 million).
The rate of increase in the volume of exports of the "Amman Chamber of Industry" to Syria (32%) was double the general rate of the Chamber's exports to all parts of the world, this rate increased by 16%.
Despite the modest amount of the Chamber's exports to Syria (85 million dinars), compared to the Chamber's exports to other countries (Iraq, for example, $495 million), the growth rate in the Chamber's exports directed to Syria was among the highest, compared to other countries, This clearly indicates Jordan's insistence on activating its commercial cooperation with the Assad regime, regardless of the Caesar Act, which Washington seems to have exempted Jordan from its consequences, in whole or in part, which shows that the trade exchange between Amman and the Assad regime has actually been put on the path of acceleration.
