The Syria Response Coordinators Team confirmed that the number of people in need of humanitarian assistance in Syria has risen to 15.3 million, an increase of 700,000 people from last year.
The figures show that there are 50.8% of the needy in a severe degree, 18.2% in a very severe degree, and 0.5% in a catastrophic degree, which is the highest percentage since 2011, according to the relief team.
The response coordinators said in a recent report that the recent UN reports issued confirm the existence of catastrophic and unprecedented numbers reached by civilians in Syria during the past year.
The current inflation rate has reached 90% on an annual basis, and that 85% of families are unable to secure their basic needs.
The team indicated that the average household income covers 40% of the expenditures, meaning that there is a 60% gap between the family's income and expenditures, and that 70% of the wastewater is thrown without treatment.
At least 59% of hospitals and 57% of health centers are operating at full capacity, 87% is the rate of increase in the price of the standard food basket, 12.1 million people suffer from food insecurity, and more than 2 million children are out of school, according to Response team.
