The trading price of the Syrian pound recorded a remarkable improvement for the US dollar in most Syrian cities, for the second day in a row, due to the increase in remittances sent from expatriates to their families inside Syria, ahead of the Eid Al-Fitr holiday.
The "Damascus dollar" had fallen 50 pounds on Saturday.
And until the closing of trading on Sunday, the “Damascus dollar” decreased by 100 new pounds, to become between 7,400 pounds for purchase and 7,500 pounds for sale.
The dollar recorded the same prices in Aleppo, Homs, Hama, Latakia and Tartous.
As for Daraa and As-Suwayda, the dollar ranged between 7,450 pounds when buying and 7,550 pounds when selling.
While the dollar declined in Raqqa, Manbij, and Deir ez-Zor, to between 7,525 pounds for purchase, and 7,625 pounds for sales.
As for Idlib, the dollar remained stable, between 7,550 pounds for purchase and 7,650 pounds for sale.
The dollar recorded the same prices in the towns of al-Bab, Afrin and Azaz.
While the trading price of $1 declined 25 pounds, in Hasakah and Qamishli, to reach between 7,575 pounds for purchase and 7,675 pounds for sale.
The exchange rate of the euro in Damascus decreased by 110 pounds, to become between 8145 pounds for purchase and 8245 pounds for sale.
The Turkish in Damascus decreased by 5 Syrian pounds, to become between 379 Syrian pounds for purchase and 389 Syrian pounds for sale.
While the Turkish one remained in Idlib, between 386 Syrian pounds for purchase and 396 Syrian pounds for sale.
The exchange rate of the Turkish dollar against the dollar in Idlib ranged between 18.36 Turkish liras for purchase and 19.36 Turkish liras for sale.
While the official price of selling of the locally so-called “remittance dollars” remained at 7,300 pounds.
