Turkey: Syrian student gets first place at Tokat Gazi university

The Syrian student, Qutaiba Al-Dibs, won the first place at the level of engineering faculties at Tokat Gazi Osman Pasha University, after graduating with a high rank from the Mechatronics Engineering branch.

The graduation ceremony for the academic year 2022-2023 was held at Togo Stadium and was attended by Tokat Governor Numan Hatipulu, Prosecutor General Fatih Koban, Rector Prof. Dr. Fatih Yilmaz and students and their families.

Al-Dibs expressed his gratitude to the Turkish state and the people of Tokat for their hospitality. In his speech at the graduation ceremony, he said:

“This journey that we started four years ago with great efforts ends today. We are witnessing bittersweet joy here today. Because we leave behind good memories."

And the outstanding student added - according to what was reported by the university's gop website - "But we are also stepping into a new beginning."

No matter how much time has passed, he said, I will never forget the good memories I had here. I'm proud of the university I've been a member of since day one, and I'll always be proud of it."

After that, awards were presented to the top three students in undergraduate and associate degree programs at the university for the academic year 2022-2023, according to the protocol. After that, graduation certificates were handed over to students who graduated from the university's colleges and schools, who achieved first place.

Among them, in addition to Al-Dibs, "Abdul Rahman Quatifan" from the College of Mechatronics Engineering ranked third at the university level and second at the same college level.

Ali Al-Aboud came in the third place at the same college level, so that the three mentioned students occupied the first positions in the college. Meanwhile, student Majid Al-Hallaq won the first place in the computer engineering branch at the same university.

Moayad Sheikh Bzeina also won the third place at the level of the Institute of Computer Information Technology of the Higher Institute of Sciences at the same university.
