(Zaman Al Wasl)-  The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) has established its own intelligence agency in territory it control in Syria, mostly from civilians loyal to the militant group, sources told Zaman al-Wasl on Thursday.

People and rebels of Deir Ezzor province, including the border city of al-Bukamal east Syria, have become under ISIS' scope since informers have been strolling everywhere. Now, People fear arrest if the State may doubt their loyalty, sources said.

The Islamic State's campaign of extreme violence and abuses against both civilians and rival opposition groups has prompted a backlash across rebel-held Syria, where many hope the US air campaign next door will be extended, according to AFP.

Agents’ main mission is to keep a close eye on former members of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) and al-Qaeda Syria's wing Nusra Front in Aleppo and other rebel-held areas.

In relevant development, ISIS has become ready for any ground attack, as it expects attacks from the FSA anytime, accompanied with air strikes of the US-led international coalition, according to sources.

Reuters reported that ISIS has gone underground since President Barack Obama authorized U.S. air strikes on the group in Syria, disappearing from the streets, redeploying weapons and fighters, and cutting down its media exposure.

Yet, more than 191,000 people killed and over 9 million forced to flee their homes.
