(Zaman Al Wasl)- At least 10, 000 families in Yarmouk Refugee Camp near Damascus are facing the risk of death from thirst and epidemics if the water cut-off continues, Palestinian Association for Human Rights said after ten days of water shortage.
Residents have
been without water for over ten days now, because Syrian regime has cut
supplies distributing to the embattled camp, activists said.
The statement which seen by Zaman al-Wasl called on International human rights organizations and the International Community to stop the spreading misery of Palestinian people who suffer brutal siege for over 14 months by Bashar a-Assad’ forces backed by Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine-General Command militias.
The association says what is happening is serious violation of the International law, which requires a suitable human treatment includes providing civilians by necessities for survival as food, medical supplies, shelter and clean drinking water.
Meanwhile, All initiatives to neutralize the Palestinian refugee camps in Syria have been failed as death toll rapidly soared to reach 191, 000 in 42-month conflict.
