Video: Shabiha used to kidnap children of detainees and sell them in the coastal area

The video content is a testimony of a defected officer from the Assad army about the trafficking of children of detainees by the Shabiha in coastal areas. And how they are sold or distributed.

"Peace be upon you

I am (name withheld for security reasons)

I was a non-commissioned officer in the 56th Brigade in the Marine Forces in Tartous.

I lived in the Ras al-Shaghri district, and at the time I had rented a room from a woman named Umm al-Zain "Laila Kamel" Yousef.

In 2012, Umm al-Zain bought a child from the shabiha (Assad thugs) and named him "Zain", but the child died a month later.

After the child's death, the woman talked to the same man, who sold her the child, and after about three weeks, the shabiha came in a van with nine children. They showed them to "Umm al-Zain" who chose an infant girl who was about a year and a half old and just starting to crawl.

I defected from the army in 2013 and the toddler was still under the care of "Umm al-Zain", who named her "Zeina".

The shabiha would come every so often with children who were distributed or sold in the areas of Wadi al-Shaghri and Ras al-Shatar.

Their gathering point was in Wadi al-Shaghri, Ras al-Shater, and al-Radar, and they had warehouses and checkpoints on the Lebanon highway, where Syrian workers coming from Lebanon were arrested.

They had prisons in the areas of Amrit and al-Radar, and the National Defense (Assad's paramilitary forces) had their own prisons as well.

I am ready to testify before the concerned authorities, and to guide them to the so-called Umm al-Zain "Laila Kamel Youssef".
