Al-Sharaa: We believe in dialogue and diplomacy to resolve conflicts

Syrian President Ahmad al-Shara expressed his happiness to participate in the fourth Antalya Diplomatic Forum, held under the theme "Adhering to Diplomacy in a Divided World." He emphasized that the Syrian Arab Republic's participation stems from its deep belief that dialogue and diplomacy are the best path to resolving conflicts and promoting peace and stability at the regional and international levels.

President al-Shara explained, in a statement published by the Syrian Presidency, that the event provided a valuable opportunity to exchange views with a number of leaders and officials and discuss the most prominent challenges facing the region and the world, while emphasizing Syria's firm position on respecting the unity and sovereignty of its territory.

During his participation, President al-Shara held a series of bilateral meetings with a number of international leaders and officials, during which they discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations and expand areas of cooperation and coordination on issues of common interest.

Al-Shara added, "During the meetings, we discussed issues of concern to our peoples, where we share common interests, and we were all keen to advance regional stability and build effective bridges of communication between our countries."

At the conclusion of his participation, the Syrian President extended his thanks and appreciation to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, praising the warm welcome and the Turkish leadership's commitment to the success of the forum, which has become a prominent international platform for political and diplomatic dialogue.

The fourth Antalya Diplomatic Forum will be held from April 11 to 13, 2025, bringing together heads of state and government, foreign ministers, and representatives of international organizations for strategic discussions aimed at strengthening multilateral diplomacy in the face of increasingly complex global crises.
