Local sources reported hearing gunfire near the Arab Bank in the city, while Syrian security forces imposed a curfew that began at 11 p.m. and continued until 7 a.m. in an attempt to control the situation.
Civil sources indicated that clashes renewed after gunmen targeted security checkpoints deployed in the area, prompting General Security to send security reinforcements to deal with the gunmen holed up near a residential building.
Concurrently, local sources from Suwayda governorate reported hearing the sounds of heavy gunfire in the western countryside, specifically around the town of Tha'la. This resulted from a machine gun attack by armed groups on the village, which was met with a response from residents and civil defense groups.
The same sources confirmed that militants opened fire on civil defense groups near Al-Tha'la Airport, followed by targeting the airport with medium weapons and mortar shells.
