(Zaman Al Wasl)-Activists accused many external forces of pressurizing rebels of “Failaq Homs”, in the Northern Countryside, to withdraw toward thr North of Syria, which caused a state of confusion and chaos among most fighting groups, according to Osama al-Homsi, the Head of the Political Office for Battalions’ collection 313 in Homs. “Withdrawal from al-Hilaliya front preceded this plan to withdraw, which led to chaos and problems in the area, already under great pressure,” he added.
Al-Homsi explains that al-Hilaliya front was just 7 houses, rebels entered it without coordination with any other groups, then it became a front line in the Western Front of the Northern countryside, and when they suddenly withdrew, encouraged the regime to attempt invading the area via al-Hilaliya, but rebels stopped them.
Al-homsi explains: “sometimes, pressure and convincing attempts to withdraw based on Sharea Fatwa to justify it, however, in reality, there is highly coordination and planning among fighting groups, but rebels from Failaq Homs have their reasons to withdraw under supporters' demands”
The activist details that troubles started after withdrawal from Homs, when rebels were in very difficult situation, physically and financially which encouraged supporters to work to resume fighting and liberate Homs, subsequently two main battalions were formed, with high wages to attract withdrawn men to join. “But out of the blue, the first battalion went to Lattakia, and the other, Failaq Homs, is planning to withdraw as well”
Al-Homsi confirms what is well known about the international trend which trying to calm down Homs’s front, therefore no real and enough support is given to Homs’s fighters.
In the end, al-Homsi confirms that on field there is no difference between the Free Syrian Army' s “FSA” fifgters and Jihadist, according to outsiders' definitions, moreover, he mentions that attempts to divide fighters according to their background, like rural or urban, or by their tribes.
Zaman al-Wasl tried to contact a representative of Failaq Homs, but attempts were unsuccessful.
