The Ministry of Interior launched its new visual identity for its vehicles during an official parade featuring 265 vehicles and motorcycles. The parade began on Saturday afternoon on the Mezzeh highway, proceeded through Umayyad Square, and concluded at Carlton Square in Damascus, drawing a large and enthusiastic crowd along the route.
Damascus Governor Maher Marwan Idlibi, in a statement to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), affirmed that the new identity reflects the Syrian state's vision for development and the future. He noted the significance of its launch coinciding with the anniversary of the start of the "Deterring Aggression" battle, a pivotal moment in Syrian history. The governor commended the efforts of the Ministry of Interior and its staff in developing the new identity and executing this event.
For his part, the ministry's spokesperson, Noureddin al-Baba, explained that the visual identity will be implemented starting in Damascus and later extended to other governorates. He clarified that its primary objective is to project a modern and youthful spirit that aligns with the state's direction. He added that the colors and designs were chosen to suit the nature of the various departments' functions, facilitating their identification and interaction by citizens.
Several citizens who attended the presentation expressed their pride in the new identity card, emphasizing that it reflected a renewed sense of security after years of hardship under the former regime.
This step is part of the new organizational structure announced by the Ministry of Interior on May 24th, which is based on good governance and institutional work. It includes developing internal security and civil affairs systems, creating new departments and merging others, with the aim of strengthening civil peace, the rule of law, and supporting the country's progress and prosperity.
