DARAA (Zaman Al Wasl) - Defections are expected within Nusra Front in Dara’a, as many members do not agree with Abo Maria’s attitude toward the Islamic State. The discrepancy among Nusra front’s members started when Abo Maria, the radical opponent to the Islamic state, moved to Dara’a leaving the Eastern region of Syria after capturing it by Islamic State.
Abo maria’s stringent attitude toward anyone supports the Islamic State could force many members of the front to defect.
It is expected that Abo maria wants to form “Jihadists’ Shora Council” like the one formed in the Eastern region during fighting with the Islamic state, which is expected to consist of Nusra Front, Ahrar al-Sham and al-Mothnna movement.
Many disapprove leaving the front to join the Islamic State, however, some consider that actions as a cleansing chance of Nsura front from non-loyal fighters
Defectors consider the international alliance against the Islamic State as a proof of the correctness of the Islamic state, and justify their action. However, they forgot that Nusra front was the first victim of the US-led air strikes.
