(Zaman Al Wasl)- New political changes within the National Coalition are about to be announced soon, which might tackle and reduce the political polarization within the Coalition according to different external powers.

National Rally is a new bloc to be formed within the National Coalition consisting of loyal Syrian nationalists, who do not have bias toward any external power and their concerns are the country’s benefits and aim to reposition the Coalition on the correct track, sources revealed.

The outlines for the bloc’s attitude had already been drawn days ago in a meeting in Istanbul, in which the bloc’s members are banned of nomination for any position within the Coalition in future.

The Rally is planning to invite many looked-up-to, nationalist and unbiased figures of the Coalition to participate in the bloc, which would disclose the real attitudes of many coalition’s members.

Sources mentioned that main incentive to form the National Rally was the re-electing Ahmed Tomeh as an Interim Prime Minister, which resulted in deep dispute and mass withdrawal from the Coalition. “The process and events accompanied Tomeh’s election, put the revolution in embarrassing position, forced everyone, loyal to the country, to rethink and re-evaluate the miserable situation of the Coalition.

Zaman al-Wasl has obtained a copy of the “rule of procedure” of the National Rally, in which the name was determined as “the National Bloc within the National Coalition for Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition Forces.

According to the “rule of Procedure”, the bloc aims to insist on the Syrian revolution’s initial goals which are overthrowing Bashar al-Assad and build a Liberated Civil Democratic Country and fight all defects and corruption affected the revolution.

Moreover, the bloc aims to direct the revolution’s institutions and clean them from corruption and irresponsible decisions.

In regard to membership of the bloc, all the National Coalition’s members are members of the bloc, but membership can be strip off when a member leaves the National Coalition, miss 3 consecutive meetings without reasons, or voluntary withdrawal.

The Bloc would consist of a “General Body” for all its members, which would have a “Presidency Committee” consists of the Head for the Bloc, his deputy and a Secretary who are chosen via secret election.

The General Body would meet regularly before the Coalition’s meetings, by a call from the Head, or request by one third of members.

The “Rule of Procedure” determined the duty of the Head, the Deputy and the Secretary, beside the general political attitude and orientation of the bloc.
