(Zaman Al Wasl)- Libya’s Prime Minister Abdullah al-Thani told Zaman al-Wasl that the rule of the Muslim Brotherhood in Libya would be worse than the rule of Muammar Gaddafi.
Al-Thani pointing out that the practices and abuses committed by the Muslim Brotherhood group in Libya is not less dangerous than Gaddafi’s crimes.
The group had exercised violence against the Libyan people in many occasions, al-Thani said.
"Today, the group power in Libya is in decline because Libyan people have decided to stand up against it due to its partisan ideology," the PM added.
The new government and the newly elected parliament are the legitimate representatives of Libyan people, al-Thani assured to Zaman al-Wasl.
The veteran politician believed that dialogue is still possible with anyone wants security and stability for Libya. “But who are wanted by the Libyan justice must be held accountable, no matter what the results were,” al-Thani added.
Regarding the fragile military situation, al-Thani lauded by the new Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Abdel Razek al-Nazouri, saying everyone is working under his command including Gen. Khalifa Haftar.
Building of the military and security
institutions is a priority to achieve stability where Libya can defend itself
against external and internal threats, al-Thani pointed out.
The head of the Libyan government expressed optimism the coming days, saying Libyan people are tired of confrontations and internal wars, and they are now more convinced of the need for joint action to establish a state based on law and justice.
