(Zaman Al Wasl)- A
member of the National Coalition revealed that value of kind aid the Assistance
Coordination Unit (ACU) managed to deliver to camps since the snow storm
reached to $. 2.5 million.
In a letter to the
Coalition, the member said that Crisis management chamber consists of the
Interim Government and the (ACU) has allocated about $.135 thousand of Qatari
donation to Atma camp to provide fuel for heat. 6436 families are expected to
benefit of Qatari cash donation.
The Coalition's member
added that ACU has tried with help of “Syria’s relief Agency” for 3 days to
transfer the fuel to the camp, but they stayed at the camp’s entrance all that
time because of blocking the road near Orient camp.
“After long negotiation
we managed to deliver the fuel to Tadamon's and Wihda's collections in Atemah
camp, and distributed to people”, the Coalition member said and confirmed that
almost all families in the camp have received the fuel.
In the end, the member
prompted the National Coalition and council, the Assistance Coordination Unit,
the Interim Government and other relief agencies to accelerate effort to meet
Syrian need, as refugees in camps at the Syrian boarders have been in hunger
strike for 3 days.
“We need acts, not false words” ended.
