(Zaman Al Wasl)- Syrian rebels on Sunday have captured strategic Sheikh Miskeen town south the war-torn country after months of heavy fighting with forces loyal to Basher al-Assad, activists said.
The fighters of Southern Front have taken control of powerful Brigade 82 in Sheikh Miskeen in Daraa province after Fierce and violent resistance by Assad forces.
Activists said rebels to continue liberation battles, heading forward to capture Izra’a town which considers as regime’s biggest stronghold in Daraa.
The Syrian crisis began nearly four years ago with an uprising against Bashar al-Assad and then turned into a civil war. So far, 220,000 people have been killed.
