(Zaman Al Wasl)- Conference of Syria’s opposition factions in Cairo this Saturday identified a 10-point vision outlining the future opposition’s meetings, while the National Coalition has not announced its attitude toward the conference.

The National Coalition was not officially invited to the conference, and the President’s deputy was not granted a visa to Egypt, but it was informally represented by several members, including Ahmed Jarba, a former coalition’s President and Fayez Sarah.

Sources mentioned that Haitham Manna has attended the conference personally as a human right expert, not as a member of the Coordination Body.

The National Coalition officially rejected attending Moscow’s conference by Russian intentions, without agenda or implementation of Geneva2 statement, agreeing in that with the Coordination Body, but still the National Coalition would allow its members to attend personally, like Jamal Sulaiman who was optimistic about Moscow’s conference and announced attending.

The first and most important vision of Cairo conference insisted that negotiation process should lead to a democratic regime and a sovereign civil state.

the final conference statement announced agreeing on a general treaty as a base for a democratic state protecting political freedom and civil rights and equality.

The conference insisted on the need to historical settlement guarantee the Syrians’ demands according to Geneva’s statement under international protection.

The attendees insisted on the need for unity of the opposition’s factions because their divisions were the main cause for prolonging the conflict.

Cairo conference’s final statement insisted on releasing all detainees, males and females, stopping war crimes, and insuring human living conditions for all Syrians, besides helping displaced and refugees to return home.

“Ending all foreign military existence in Syria, restricting arms to the government and the new regime, and demanding the international community to stop terrorists flow to Syria” were other main points discussed in Cairo’s conference.

Attendees added that any political solution to Syrian crisis must guarantee a radical democratic change that criminalizes violence and sectarianism.”

Cairo conference announced another talks to be held this April, with forming a committee to communicate with opposition’s members.

Russia called to host a conference in Moscow for peace talks to sort out the Syrian crisis, following two failed conferences on in Geneva last year between regime and opposition representatives.

Russia is the most powerful supporter to the Syrian regime.
