(Zaman Al Wasl Leaks)- Violations
committed by the National Defence forces Militias touched even people loyal to
regime with no exception to families of their killed colleagues or members.
Zaman al-Wasl is carrying on
publishing sexual harassments committed by responsible figures in the National
Defence Forces (NDF) especially against wives of their “Martyrs”.
The newspaper obtained new
documents containing information reported by victims and members of the NDF,
witnesses from the inside, which gives the reports more credibility.
The first report goes back to September
2014, it talks about a woman, a wife of a member of the NDF who was killed by
rebels, she claimed that rebels demanded 300 thousand Syrian pound to hand them
his body. The woman rejected telling her name or even her husband’s.
Her friend reported the complaint
to on behalf of her, and the investigator heard the story from the victim over
the phone.
The woman said that she had to go
to the Martyrs’ office in the National Defence Forces’ office in Salamiyah, to
follow up the procedure for the salary for her killed husband. She was
transferred to Anas Asaliyah, who promised her to do his best to get her paid
the salary, in the same time he requested her phone number. After a while he
started contacting her and requesting her to go to visit him in office in the
evening when nobody in the office. In the end he told her that he managed to
sort out her husband’s salary and wanted a treat for that, which he decided to
be sexual treat. He forced her to make sex with him, normal and anal, for many
times, without any consideration to her feelings or her agreement.
She said that she was ready to
reveal her name and other women’s who were subject to similar blackmailing, on
condition to protect her and her family and keep her case confidential.
The second report is from the
National Defence forces’ office in Salamiyah, which report that information had
reached to the office about many men wearing military clothes claiming to be
from the NDF, accompanied sometimes with blindfolded women, regularly attended
to a farm in Mezeriah village. The report mentioned that after raiding the
farm, they found many bags for covering faces some of them were stained with
blood, drugs, sex-enhancing pills like Viagra, a desktop computer, and many
CDs, some of them contained videos of women in inappropriate sexual acts where
they were filmed secretly besides many forged reports about some members of the
NDF.
After questioning the farm’s owner,
he confessed that he let the farm to people claimed to be from the NDF and show
him ID cards from Salamiyah centre, and the person he dealt with was Mamoon
Masarani, from Tartus countryside, lived in a flat in the city centre. The
report mentioned that flat was empty when was raided, but CDs contained videos
of women in sexually offensive acts were found and Mamoon was seen in many of
them, where he filmed women secretly by a camera hidden in a tissue box.
The third report shows the initial
questioning of Mamoon Masarani about the farm and the flat and the
inappropriate and offensive videos, and the fake reports against many members
of the NDF, he claimed that he worked to Malik Hasan, a Lieutenant colonel from
Jablah, and witnesses on fake reports were forced to sign on their statements.
Mamoon added that Malik Hasan convinced him that acts would benefit the country
and they are top secret and threatened them to keep silent otherwise they would
be hurt.
