Islamic State beheads man for witchcraft near Aleppo


(Zaman Al Wasl)- The Ultra-hradline group Islamic State publicly beheaded a man for allegedly practicing witchcraft on February 25 in a border village with Turkey, relative told Zaman al-Wasl, 

ISIS accused Mohamed Alaa el-Din Absi, 57,  of magic craft due to what the ISIS called "talismans" found in his pocket. But it has been nothing more than religous prayers, Abu Mohamed la-Hamabi, a relative told Zaman al-Wasl. 

Absi was photographed being beheaded by a masked executioner in al-Raei border village north of Aleppo. 

Photographs of the barbaric execution were released by Wilayet Halab, an ISIS-affiliated media website. 

An image shows Absi being led to the execution site by militant and a crowd of dozens of onlookers at the gruesome scene. another photograph shows him kneeling on the floor with his arms bound behind his back, his head resting and the sword centimeters from his neck. 

Absi, who studied Physical Engineeringwas arrested on November 5 2014 by ISIS in al-Raei village during a visit to his family.   

 Al-Halabi said the shock was unbearable when we saw the beheading photos on the social media, all we know that he was moved from al-Bab prison to al-Qabbasin town by ISIS due to targeting ISIS main stronghold by US-collation air strikes.   

The victim relative added, "we know nothing about his body, where it was buried."   

The Islamic State has been cracking down on all forms of magic. Clearly, the Islamic State does not take the threat of supernatural forces lightly, according to U.S. Vice newspaper.
