New massacre committed by Assad's forces
killed 100 people and more than 1000 wounded in east Ghouta, Damascus suburbs,
after five days of fierce clashes, Local NGO revealed in a report.
The Unified Bureau in East Gouta for Human Rights said:
'al-Matahen' massacre took place in Ghouta towns between 29July and 2 August
2013.
The victims belong to different towns of Ghouta which seems
to be a thorn in the side of the Assad regime.
Among the coalition disputes, more than 150,000 people have
been killed in the conflict, according to the U.N.'s recent estimate.
In relevant context, the Free Syrian Army
Battalions gained, yesterday, an advanced missiles and sophisticated weapons by
controlling 3 ammunition depots in the Damascus countryside; activists reported.
Rebels from (al-Islam brigade, Jabhat
al-Nusra, al-Tawhid battalion, Quwat al-Maghaweer, Shuhada' al-Qalamoun
battalions, and some other rebel factions) have taken over 3 arms storage
centres near the town of Qaldoun, Human rights Observatory said.
The depots were contained anti-armor
weapons, surface-to-surface rockets (Grad) and several different types of
ammunition.
The rebels gain comes after fierce clashes have been
started since last night. The observatory reported 1 rebel was killed and many
others wounded with no reports yet on the number of losses amongst regime
forces.
An activist wrote in his facebook page it
was new slap to the Assad Army after the latest huge explosion in ammunition
depot in Homs two days ago.
On July 31, the United Nations said an
estimated 6.8 million people are in need of humanitarian assistance in Syria.
Syria's conflict began in March 2011 largely as peaceful
protests against Assad's rule. It escalated into a civil war after opposition
supporters took up arms to fight a brutal government crackdown on dissent.
