The Syrian air force on Sunday extended its intense aerial campaign against rebel-held areas in Syria, conducting a series of airstrikes on Aleppo, Daraa and Hama that killed 15 people, activists said.
The Syrian Network for Human Rights said at least 6 victims including a woman and a child were killed in barrel bomb attacks on al-Sukkari neighborhood in Aleppo.
Other 8 victims, including 3 women, have been killed in missile attack on Tariq al-Sadd neighborhood in the southern city of Daraa Sunday.
The regime helicopters also have dropped 2 barrel bombs on Kafr Zaita Specialist Hospital in Hama countryside, 2 medics killed, according to SNHR.
For months, the regime has waged an unrelenting aerial campaign against the opposition-held areas making particular use of crude so-called barrel bombs.
Rights groups criticize the weapons as indiscriminate and say they are more likely to cause civilian casualties.
Syria's four-year-old war has killed more than 220,000 people and forced millions out of their homes.
