At least 15 people were killed in Syrian regime air strikes around
Palmyra, the U.K.-based Syrian Network for Human Rights said in a
statement on Monday.
The strikes close to the UNESCO World Heritage site in Homs province injured dozens more, the rights group said.
On Sunday, the official news agency SANA reported at least 400 people in the area killed by Daesh, who took the central city on May 20.
The Roman ruins at Palmyra, considered some of the best preserved in the world, date to the 1st century.
