70 Soldiers of Assad forces escape to Afrin, running away from Mennegh

 The General Command of the Kurdish People Protection Units (YPG) said in a statement that 70 soldiers of the Assad Army fell by the PYD-linked   militia as hostages.

The regime-run media revealed that 70 soldier entered Afrin city, Kurdish predominantly, with their weapons and two tanks without mentioning if they are Guests or hostages by YPD.

 The Kurdish units said the soldiers fell as hostages after an ambush set up for the soldiers who were running away from Mennegh Military Air port that  fell under rebels' control.

 Kurds are about 10 percent of Syria’s 23 million population, and Kurdish Democratic Union officials have been saying for some time that they intended to set up what they described as “an independent Council to run Kurdish regions.
