Assad forces burn hundreds of acres planted with grains, olives in Homs

Syrian regime forces and allied militias have burned hundreds of acres planted with grains and olives in al-Houleh region in Homs province, activists told Zaman al-Wasl Tuesday.

For the third year, Bashar al-Assad's forces have been targeting wheat and olive corps in harvesting season, in step to harden living condition of people who already live under siege.

Activists of Tal Dahab town in al-Houleh countryside said locals and civil defense units were able to put out the fire after hundreds of acres totally had been burned out.
