The Syrian opposition's interim government on Monday has dismissed the Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff, Brigadier General Abdul Karim al-Ahmed, source told Zaman al-Wasl.
The interim government of Syrian National Coalition said Brigadier Ahmed Berri to conduct the affairs of the Staff pending the formation of the supreme military command council next months.
The source said the key opposition group will form a new military command for the Free Syrian Army, able to face the mounting challenges on the battlefronts.
