The Syrian Coalition’s political committee decided to form a fact-finding committee to look into reports of ethnic cleansing in the town of Tal Abyad and the surrounding villages during a meeting held on Thursday.
The committee is composed of a number of political committee members, representatives from the Interim Ministry of Justice, Kurdish human rights organizations, civil society organizations and rights groups.
The fact-finding committee will arrange meetings with the displaced and affected to find out the reasons behind their displacement, to see if they want to return to their homes and to study ways to help them return to their homes.
The committee will visit the town of Tal Abyad and the surrounding villages, particularly the villages where cases of displacement have been reported. It will meet with active parties in the area to discuss finding a solution to the problem. (Source: Syrian Coalition)
