Car blast in the old city of Damascus leaves seven wounded

Syria's al-Ikhbariya television channel reported a car bomb explosion in the old city of Damascus on Saturday.

The attack happened in Souk al-Bzourieh in the centre of the old city and wounded seven people, some of them children, the station said. Two of those wounded were reported to be in critical condition.

Shops and cars were severely damaged in the blast.  Souk al-Bzourieh is a historical market specialising in selling spices and sweets.
