National Coalition head visits Geneva Wednesday over Geneva Peace Talks

Syrian opposition's head Khaled Khoja to visit Geneva on Wednesday accompanied with 6 National Coalition members, source told Zaman al-Wasl.

The unexpressed visit came over the third round of Syria's Peace Talks that planned to take place in the Switzerland's capital.

The UN-Arab League special envoy to Syria, Staffan de Mistura, has intensified consultations in the last few weeks with Syrian opposition figures including the domestic opposition.

The National Coalition insisted on Geneva's communique 1 that states Bashar al-Assad has no role in Syria's future and its transitional period.

The visit will take three days, source said.

The delegation includes: Khaled Khoja, Ahmed Ramadan, Badr Jamous, Hadi Bahra, Hassan al-Hashemi, Hisham Marwa and Mustafa Osso.

More than 230,000 people have been killed in Syria since the conflict began in March 2011 with anti-government demonstrations that were met with a regime crackdown.
