Siraj Eddin Allon, A Syrian young man has been in Ataturk Airport in Istanbul for 4 months with other 7 Syrian refugees waiting to deportation to the country they had come from.

Allon explained his marathon trip between Turkey to Nouakchott in Mauritania as he kept moving between the two country for 13 times because of his forged passport, he confirmed to Zaman al-Wasl that many of the detainees with him had contacted the National Coalition, but their attempts went in vain.

Allon revealed that the video published by Zaman al-Wasl had benefited him a lot in sorting out his situation at Turkish Authority, mentioning that even the treatment has improved after publishing the video.

Allon, 24 years old from Idlib, he defected from the police forces, and went to Turkey and lived in a refugee camp.

He could not find a job, therefore he thought of traveling to a country accepts Syrians to enter without a visa, and chosen Mauritania and traveled there from Ataturk Airport using his passport, and arrived without any troubles, and stayed for a while, but he had some circumstances forced him to go back to Turkey.

When he arrived to Ataturk airport, he was denied access to the country claiming that his passport was fake, despite he left to Mauritania using it in the Same airport.

Allon was returned to Mauritania with his file explaining that his passport was forged, he stayed there for two days and returned to Turkey, then the later returned him back and so on for 13 times.

Siraj mentioned that he contacted important figures in the National Coalition, but they did nothing, moreover, he contacted the Organisation of Human Rights and decided to support him by sending him a lawyer.

“The lawyer had twice applied to release me but the two applications were rejected, and my file was transferred to the constitutional Court and they are still there. He hoped now his application of deportation would be successful, but the lawyer told him that his application could be rejected as well.

In the end, Siraj Eddin confirms that the video published by Zaman al-Wasl talking about the life of the detainees in Ataturk airport, helped his case and now he is expected to be deported to Syria via bab-Alhawa crossing point because it is controlled by te Free Syrian Army.

“I have been detained in the airport for months away from my wife and daughter, it is better for me to live under the threat of explosive barrels than the situation I am in now” he ended.
