Zaman Alwasl learned from documented testimonies Islamic brigades entered the villages of Afrin three days ago to purge the area from PYD, Kurdish party fighters.
Eye-witnesses declared the fighting brigades did commit neither killing
nor displacing acts against the civilians there. Also, an agreement was signed
between the brigades and the elders in the villages for the Shariah Board to
take control over the area.
Witnesses confirmed the fighters of PYD left the area. One witness to the
agreement mentioned, Chief of Shariah Board addressed the people by saying they
are brothers in Islam and they are not targeting Kurds. The chief of the board
said it is possible to issue an amnesty to PYD fighters if they are to hand
over their weapons.
After that, the chief made a phone call with an unknown party, and it
seems the unknown party is the decision maker. The chief, after the phone call,
said we are not going to leave the fighters in the area and it is demanded we
kill and wipe them out.
The sources concluded civilians who left their homes out of fear of the
Islamic brigades, came back after the sign of the agreement and no civilian was
harmed.
