Syrian Communist Board promise to topple Assad

After a long silence, the Central Leadership for the Syrian Communist Board issued a statement regarding the detention of one of its members, the Lawyer, Amar al-Drubi.

Al-drubi got detained while he was leaving to his office in courthouse by a security patrol in 23/05/2013. Al-Drubi was previously detained in 01/10/2011by the Air Force Intelligence.

What is strange is the board, which has been silent for a long time, claimed, the detention of 17 of its members will empty Homs from the "the democratic trend".

This, according to the board, started to affect the city and pave the way for the Salafi religious trends to increase to kill considering that the opposition is sectarian and religious.

It will stop other social groups from participating in the revolution activities in a time when the participation increased. The detention came to include all of the social components in Homs.

Now, after the increased participation of the former silent social components which the regime tried to claim its representation, security forces detained tens of democratic and progressive persons.

In an unprecedented tone, the Syrian Communist Board demands the release of al-Drubi right away and holds the regime accountable for his safety. The board addressed all of the international organizations and forces to interfere to release al-Drubi and all the revolution detainees.

The statement adds that we will carry on the struggle to build national unity and to protect the unity of Syria land and people in order to topple the regime and all its representations.

The regime of theft, corruption, and killing extended to government institutions. The regime of impoverishment of the people which no one can stand any longer. The objective is to build civil democratic national order to achieve social justice, the statement said.
