Aleppo's Sharia Court, the higher judiciary body in rebel-held areas in the northern city, said on Monday all commercial and financial transactions will be in Turkish Lira instead of Syrian Pound by September 5, a move may undermine the value of Syrian (Lira) and to record a new setback for regime's economy.
The Islamic court that controls and manage civil affairs in Aleppo said in circular all transactions, fines, bails, purchases and sales must be in Turkish Lira by fifth of September.
Activists debated the decision, saying the move may help the deteriorating value of Turkish Lira due to the political and military challenges the key Middle Eastern country has been confronting.
