Duststorm sweeps Syria, air strikes halt

A huge duststorm hit Syria's provinces of Idlib, Homs and Latakia on Monday amid forecast reports say it's the fiercest in decades, in time regime supporters say the storm comes in favor of ISIS fighters who took an oil-rich village in northern countryside of Homs.

Activists have praised the storm as Syrian regime's air strikes have been freezed in Homs and Idlib and other war-ravaged areas.

Zaman al-Wasl reporter said the thick layer of dust has swept the northern countryside of Homs causing tens of asthma and shortness of breath cases.

Meanwhile, pro-Regime social media activists said the sand storm had helped ISIS taking control of oil-rich Jazel village north of Homs.
