21 people killed in regime, rebels shelling on Aleppo: monitor

At least 17 civilians, including nine children and three women, were killed on Sunday when rebels shelled a regime-controlled neighborhood in the northern city of Aleppo, a monitoring group said.

The Syrian Network for Human Rights said the shelling Sunday took place in Al-Midan neighborhood, once a center for the city's thriving Armenian community.

The monitoring that tracks war in Syria said 4 people were killed in regime barrel bomb attack on al-Sha'ar neighborhood

Aleppo, once the commercial center of Syria, has been divided since 2012, with government forces controlling much of western Aleppo and rebel groups in control of the east.
