Al Jabha Al Shamiya freed British woman and her five children

Al Jabha Al Shamiya, coalition of several rebel groups, has freed a British woman and her five children who were kidnapped in the country, delivering them to British embassy through an American mediator, source in the group's media office told Zaman al-Wasl.

The statement by 'The Levant Front' was reported Tuesday by the U.S.- based SITE Intelligence Group, which monitors militant websites.

On the group's Facebook page, it adds the woman had traveled to an area controlled by rival ISIS to convince her husband to leave, but failed. The Front, mostly operating in northern Aleppo province, said the woman was kidnapped as she fled from the ISIS-held area; it didn't identify her kidnappers, AP reported.

The source said an American journalist coordinated with Al-Shamiya
rebels to reach the hostages, and after he had delivered them o their embassy in Istanbul.

The British Foreign Office said a British woman and her five children have been reported missing in Turkey, but wouldn't confirm it is the same case.
