Two official documents revealed the cooperation between a Lebanese Trading group and its Spanish branch with the Syrian regime’s Ministry of Interior, and provided them with night binoculars and X-ray-scanners, in the same time when the regime with all its departments was suppressing the Syrians people and violating their rights and humanity.
The first document showed that a contract was conducted between a Lebanese company "Azar Offshore", to supply 495 night and daylight binoculars beside 100 magnifying glass often snipers use to focus on targets.
The second document has confirmed that “Bohler” a Spanish company, had won a tender put forward by the Ministry of internal of the Syrian regime to supply 23 X-ray- scanners for prisons at cost of approximately € 51 thousand with total cost of about €1.2 million including the price of the machines, operating and training.
Zaman al-Wasl investigated the roots of Bohler company, and discovered that it is a branch of the AZAR OFFSHORE trading Group, which is a family group founded in 1955, and has two branches: the Lebanese AZAR OFFSHORE and the Spanish BOHLER under its wings and follows the General trading in Dubai.
AZAR OFFSHORE Company concentrated in its activities expertise in the Syrian market and winning several tenders in which, although it presents itself as an across borders company, which increases the suspect that company might be one of the Syrian regime’s with a Lebanese cover.
Activities of AZAR OFFSHORE in Spain and Dubai includes providing Syrian regime’s security with equipments and technological devices for airports and customs.
Zaman al-Wasl had previously published an official document stating that AZAR OFFSHORE had supplies the Syrian Ministry of Interior with 5 thousand Anti-Bullets shield, that confirms that the Ministry of Interior have dealt with the company in many occasions, not only these two contracts.
