Clashes between ISIS, regime renew near air base east Homs

Clashes between Islamic State and regime army have renewed Tuesday near the T-4 military air base east of Homs city, activists said as air forces extend aerial campaign on the northern countryside.

ISIS has tightened the noose on regime air bases in the eastern countryside of Homs and Damascus, pressing hard to take T-4, al-Sin and Dumeir military airports. Two weeks ago, Islamist rebels took Abu Dhour military airport in Idlib.

Also in Homs, 15 U.N. aid vehicles reached al-Houla region loaded by food, medicine and tents. It was delivered by the Syrian Red crescent.

Meanwhile, Rami Abdel Rahman, head of the British-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, said: "At least 30 people were killed and scores wounded in air strikes by the U.S.-led coalition on Sunday which destroyed an Islamic State training camp in eastern Syria."

Abdelrahman believed the strikes were carried out by French jets, according to Reuters.
