(Video)- Two Syrian women in Deir Ezzor province east Syria were lashed 30 times each for theft by Radical Islamic State group that claims following Sharia, according to footage posted on the social media by local activists Saturday.
Activists said two local women had been accused of stealing an ISIS property which was their own homes seized by the ultra-hardline group because 'they are apostates', ISIS claimed.
Islamic State has proclaimed a caliphate to rule over all Muslims from territory it holds in both Syria and Iraq. Its militants have a history of carrying out mass killings in towns and cities they capture and of destroying ancient monuments which they consider evidence of paganism.
More than 230,000 people killed and over 12 million forced to flee their homes.
