At least 15 civilians killed in Assad air strikes on Talbiseh near Homs

At least 15 civilians mostly children were killed in Syrian regime air strikes on rebel-held town in the northern countryside of Homs city, according to activists.

Local activists said 15 people have lost their lives and dozens wounded in Friday's attack on Talbiseh. The stricken town has been under devastating aerial campaign for the third week since Russia began its air strikes in Syria on Sep. 30.

The Syrian regime and Russian warplanes have carried out more than 40 raids on the northern countryside, local activists said. The aerial campaign keep focusing on Talbiseh and Teir Malla towns, they added.

The northern countryside has occurred to severe aerial campaign, more than 370 people have been killed in Russian air strikes, monitoring groups said, mostly from Homs.

Also in northern Homs, Militants loyal to Bashar al-Assad have kidnapped 20 women to press on rebels freeing regime army corpses who were killed in the ongoing clashes, activists said.

Rebels on Thursday have killed 15 regime army soldiers in the ongoing clashes near Homs, destroying 7 tanks and vehicles.

Russian Defense Ministry official, Igor Konashenkov, on Thursday denied U.S. allegations that the Russian military had used cluster bombs in populated areas in Syria, RIA news agency reported.

Almost 80 percent of Russia's declared targets in Syria have been in areas not held by Islamic State, a Reuters analysis of Russian Defence Ministry data shows, undermining Moscow's assertions that its aim is to defeat the group.
