Ahrar Al Sham says no meeting held with Russians, denies media reports

A number of leaders in the first row of the Islamic Movement Ahrar al-Sham denied media allegations that talked about a meeting of the leaders of the Movement with Russia in the Turkish city of Istanbul.

"Labib Nahhas" head of foreign relations in the political wing of Ahrar al-Sham in a tweet has emphasized on his account in Twitter saying that  the news of the meeting with the Russian envoy is incorrect : "AlJazeera news about a meeting of the Islamic Front with Russian envoy Bogdanov is incorrect completely. There is NOT any contact directly or indirectly with the Russians."

For his part, a member of the Shura Council, and one of the main founders of Ahrar al-Sham Movement "Khaled Abu Anas" commented on the news saying: "a correction to the news channel Al Jazeera about the meeting with the Russians in Istanbul is not correct but already in honor in Syria battles, and it is a bloody meeting which will not be forgotten by the Infidels (Russians)."

The "Al Jazeera Net" quoted its own sources, reports about holding of a meeting between a number of leaders of the Islamic Front factions and the Russian envoy to the Middle East Mikhail Bogdanov in Istanbul, Turkey. (Source: El Dorar Al Shamia)
