(Al Arabiya)- Palestinian artist Noel Kharman added her own twist to
Adele’s new hit single “Hello” by working a classic Arabic song by
Lebanese diva Fairouz, garnering lots of praise on social media.
British singer Adele returned to the spotlight with her single “Hello,” becoming the first song ever to break the 1 million download mark on the Billboard charts.
The lyrics, which talk about the agony of separation and the passion for a reunion, inspired Kharman to mashup its words Fairouz's all-time classic “Kifak Inta.”
The 17-year-old’s flawless vocals caused the mashup to go viral on social media after it was posted Friday, getting more than 600,000 views in three days.
Kharman started her YouTube channel less than a month ago has already has more than 10,000 subscribers and more than 100,000 channel views on her three videos.
She started performing at local festivals in Palestine at the age of 10, according to her official Facebook page.
