Rebels take 4 villages south of Aleppo, air strikes kill 6

(Zaman Al Wasl)- Syrian rebels on Friday have taken control of 4 villages in the southern countryside of Aleppo province, the Revolution Local Coordination Committees said.

Rebels have captured villages of Makhala, Tel tajer, Kherbat Kousaand Hemaira after heavy clashes with regime troops and their allied fighters from Iran and Hezbollah militia, the Committees said.  An Iranian fighter was held captive by rebels, added.

The northern countryside has also witnessed fierce fighting near the border town of Azaz.

A suspected Russian air strike has killed 3 people near Bab al Salamah border crossing with Turkey near Azaz town.

Also, three people,
including two children, were killed in regime air strike on al Dadat village in Aleppo, the Syrian Network for Human Rights said.

Inside Aleppo city, clashes reported between regime troops backed by Lebanese Hezbollah militants and rebels in Jamiyat al Zahraa neighborhood.

In their turn, Syrian Turkmen rebels have recaptured Burj Zahiyah mountain in Mount Turkmen late on Thursday after a fierce fighting with regime troops near the Turkish border.

In eastern Syria, opposition groups said a new wave of airstrikes on ISIS’s stronghold city of Raqqa has killed at least eight people, including five children.

It wasn’t immediately clear who carried out the airstrikes Friday.

 Since 2011, four million Syrians have fled abroad. Millions more have been internally displaced, while at least 250,000 have been killed.
