(Zaman Al Wasl)- ISIS fighters backed by Russian air strikes on Wednesday have taken control of two towns in the northern countryside of Aleppo after a surprise attack on rebel bastions, local reporter said.
Late on Tuesday, militants of the radical group have launched a surprise attack on towns of Kafra and Sundaft in the northern countryside, pushing rebels to withdrawal.
The new territory captured by ISIS is situated in the Turkish-planned buffer zone.
Rebel commander, told Zaman Al Wasl that rebels of the northern countryside of Aleppo have been exhausted after months of fighting ISIS.
Abu Muntasir has also accused Russian airstrikes of enhancing ISIS advances in the war-torn province.
