(Zaman Al Wasl)- An ISIS car bomb exploded Saturday in the northern province of Aleppo, killing at least 7 rebel fighters in an attack on rival group in Tal Refaat town, Zaman al Wasl reporter said.
The rigged car exploded near a military post affiliated to al Shamiya Front, key rebel group operating in Aleppo province, leaving 7 fighters killed.
The ultra-hardline Islamic State has frequently targeted moderate rebels groups and Western-backed ones, claiming that waging war on the 'awakening' groups (Sahawat) is more important than fighting the (Bashar) Assad regime.
Meanwhile, rebels of the northern countryside said they had taken two towns from ISIS on Saturday after heavy clashes.
Activists have accused Russia of collaborating ISIS in its fight against rebels by intensifying air strikes on its rival groups.
Since it began in 2011, Syria's conflict has fractured into a complex array of fronts between Kurds, rebels, regime and jihadists, and has killed more than 250,000 people.
